I rode my horse Sam in his natural hackamor , We took a canter and everything.  It was great!!

I lov e to see all of the play groups, forming and playing together!!!

Wow this is so exciting. There will be 62 countries competing. This is the biggest sportint event to be held in Kentucy. The largest equine evnt ever heid in the USA.   The games have been held in Europe for the last 20 years.

16 days of competition

 700 athletes

 750 horses

100 officals  

8 equestrian sports, including the  Para dreesage

Ths marks the first time Para dressage competition will be held during the games

Sam and I competed in 2 more ACTHA rides.  We recievd a 3rd place ribbon on Saturday. Sunday was the ride for the rescue.  It was a great ride. So far we have really enjoyed these rides. Most of the riders seem to put the relationship with their horse first.  In the pleasure division, two PNH folks took first and second place. they were real nice.  I rode with a group on Sunday and we encourgae each other at the obstacles,  Great ride Sam!!!

Today Sam and I were learned to back up in an L shaped pattern. He was very patience with me. We did it on the ground first and he got it.He was not getting it from the saddle.  After a few up and down moments he got it from the saddle. i thanked him for being patience with me. I am so rpoud of him!!

Is it ok to study with more than one. i have to instructors that I like a lot, and one JR instructor that I study with. I like to go to clinic close to home , so a lot of times that is how I decide.  Also , I have to time my clinics around work, and y kids.

Is any one riding, in the ride for the rescue?   Information about this ride is on the Parelli website.  I will be ridingf in it.

 I am an ACTHA affilate.   I am holding my first ride on May the 15th. WOW it has been a lot of work. But it has been fun.had to find judges, pick the trails and obstacles,and learn all of the rules.

    The Parelli program has given, me the confedence to run such an event.  Wish me luck,  and tell the rain to go away!!

Sam and I did our first trail ride competition on Saturday.   My daughter also competted. It was a very nice trail ride.  On the trail there is 6 obstacles to be judged on. My daughter did a good job. My horse Sam did a great job.  His rider made the mistakes.  Oh well  It was a great learning experience.   The lady that won the pleasure division, is also studying  the PNH program.

Today was a fine day, My parnter Sam and I, are getting ready to compete in a competitive trail challange. we wil be scored on six obsicles on a natural trail.  Today at home we prtacied different obstcile that may be on the trail. We back through barrels, opened and closed gates. Even tryed a log drag. Sam did great. We worked together as a team.  very good feeling

We just had our  March meeting. We taked about our goals for 2010.   We will all be attending the PNH celebration in Columbus Ohio.  Our topic for this meeting. We watched the dvd, Calavia. We all like it. We talked about why they only use geldings and stallions in the show.  What savvys we watched in the show. How important it is that these horses do not change gait. We also taked about how the PNH prgram could improve their horsemanship.. We had a late lunch.  And the meeting was ajourned.

At this meeting we added two new members to our group. We talked about what   progess we made in the year 2009. It was a good meeting.
