Thank you again Steph & Zoe for producing two very informative and interesting workshops on Saturday 5th Feb.

Congratulations to all the people who attended the 'Introduction to Parelli' workshop in the morning.  We were blown away by the response and it was great to see so many new faces - the feedback was very encouraging and we look forward to seeing you all at future Parelli workshops and clinics.

Come and be inspired and motivated!  The first Winter workshop takes place on 22nd January at Hamstones, Littlewindsor, Beaminster, Dorset DT8 3QU.  We start with a session indoors (with tea/coffee and biscuits!) and then we have the use of a beautiful, large indoor school so that the show will go on whatever the weather!

The day runs from 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs just £75.  Spectators are welcome f.o.c.  

Great news!  We have the use of an indoor school to keep our enthusiasm going over the winter months!

Based at Broadwindsor (as before), the dates are:

22nd January 2011

19th February 2011

19th March 2011

16th April 2011 (may be outdoors if weather     good enough!)

Still a couple of riding places available on this fun Parelli weekend with Steph Gaunt and Zoe Williams at Littlewindsor, Near Beaminster in Dorset. 

Increase your Savvy on Saturday (10.00 a.m. to 5 p.m.) followed by a BBQ, and then Sunday is Tournament Day, with rosettes and prizes.

The fourth in the Summer Series of Workshops with Steph Gaunt took place on Sunday 25th July in the ever evolving play park at Hamstones.  'Focus' was the topic for the day and the riders were challenged to keep this despite the flies, other disturbances and the natural tendency to see what everyone else is doing!  Good work riders, and it is really great to see the enthusiasm and progress everyone is making. 

We had lovely sunshine for the 3rd workshop with Steph at Littlewindsor!  The focus for the day was 'Leadership' and the riders were encouraged to take just one quality out in the play area with them to concentrate on.

You really can have that much fun and be improving your savvy and horsemanship! 

With participants from as far away as Cardiff, we worked through the underlying principles of Parelli and how important it is to apply them to all you do with, around and for your horse.  We then put these principles to a purpose using all the toys, obstacles and equipment in the play park (which is growing in size every month!). 

What a great day!  We started with a really interesting session indoors on the systems of the horse and explored the relevance of each of the games and what winning each game could look like. 

Then out into Suzanne's new play park! - complete with 3 round pens, a huge rubber tyre pedestal, water obstacle, jumps, barrels and balls - for the online session.  It was really interesting watching how each horse reacted to this new environment (and all that space!) and how the handlers used the various games to get their horses to relax.

This course is for those who are studying the advanced stages of Level 2 , or those who are actively studying Level 3.  It is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and imagination, learning some 'new stuff' whilst focusing on the fundamentals of achieving a harmonious relationship.

Spend 2, 3 or 5 days with passionate like-minded Parelli students and one of Parelli's most experienced and highest rated 3 Star Parelli Professionals in the world!

Huge thanks to Stephanie Gaunt for giving such a lively and informative talk on 'Leadership' at our social evening.  Fresh back from Florida and full of enthusiasm and lots of ideas to get the group discussing various issues around what we perceive as good and bad leadership.  Definite food for thought! 

And it really was!  One of my mares decided to give birth the morning we were supposed to travel to the J R Foundation Station, so I left in the wee small hours of Monday morning to arrive just in time for the first action of the day.  And what a fantastic day - with 4 more to follow!
