OK So, the last two weeks of Play Sessions have run smoothly & made me wonder how I got soooo Savvy All of a sudden with having had a long break over winter.

Well - LOL, last night Katana, was having different thoughts to me BUT when I look at it now I am pretty stoked with how it went and I wonder if it was a BETTER play session than the ones that actually went really smoothly and ran perfectly...??

I didn’t get the ball out this time but we have plenty to play with even so, Barrels for Figure 8, Pole on tyres for jump, Road cones, Pedistal

Well, since I passed my L1 audition at the start of NZ's 2010 Winter I havent done a heck of a lot with the horses at all... expecially in the form of play sessions.

A couple of days ago I was in the paddock, mooching with my beautiful little black RBI mare & I was wondering how I am going to go about making a pedistal and what I can do to make our entrance into L2 an exciting but successful one.

Here I was sitting on the Sled that my other horse, a Shire, pulls around our little acreage.

I have had my eyes opened today to just how lucky I am to live within a 15 minutes (at most) drive from awesome places to take my horse to play with. Some of you may have seen me post this on another message board, but I cant get over that here in NZ we are so lucky to have places set asside for us to ride horses. I have free access to foresty blocks, beaches, lakes, sandy tracks, quiet roads and beautiful farm land to ride on when ever I like. No restrictions.

Just after some advice really.

A couple of months ago I was playing with me RBI mare & I asked her to touch her cover which was laying on the ground.

She happily walked up to it & then lowered her head stuffed her mouth as full of canvas as seh could get it then stood there, not making any movements except to blink.

She wasnt sucking the cover or anything like that.
It was just really strange.
I just stood there & hung out with her for a few minutes until she decided she would wake up.

She approached calmly & she woke up calmly.

I have been getting 'stick' for a while from fellow parelli students in my area about my lack of commitment in the area of getting my level one officially done.

So, last night we had an "Eating Meeting" where we get together without our horses & have a "Pot Luck" dinner. During the course of the evening OF COURSE it came to pass that the topic diverted to myself having continued to be a bit slack in the pursuance of my Level 1.
