What a turning point parelli has been, I played with Jester last night in the dark field light by snow just simple circle, change direction, change speed marking our responses to each other noting things to work on laughing at his cheeky moments but cautious of the snow under hoof

So with Jester now 15 and a much happier horse, I find myself with another horse, so from nearly giving up horses to having two..

Its easy to play with Jess, and we can have fun in the field despite the snow as he is in perfect freestyle partnership in the field with me and pays no attention to any of the other horses when im in the field.I never lead him anywhere round the yard anymore I can bring him in for his tea and turn him out without a halter he even turns with me when I close the gate.

Me and Jess are going great guns. Spending time with him is so much fun and never stressful, frustrating or scary as had been the case before he went to the JR foundation. He truly is a different horse and best of all im a different owner.

I worked Jester in the school all week with some very good progress we had long neck stretches in all paces and transitions are getting much smoother as im getting my head round my independent seat and energy.  On Thursday he was long and low in canter but then just for a few strides he lifted himself as if I had asked for collection and did a lovely slow collected canter which felt amazing. I need to start grading things now like my corrections to the rail on each lap of the school so I can see progress.

Last week I had my 2 days of training with Jester at the JR foundation, we loved it. It blew my mind a bit and panic struck a little as to how I would remember it all when we got home as didn’t want to ruin all the hard work they had done.

Went out to watch Jester at the JR Foundation today, what a change.
 I watched my horse worked, mounted and then just stand still for about 30 minuets, I have never had him stand still this long never mind the fact he looked almost asleep. They then took him for a hack and on his return he had to stand around again while James talked through some of the principles. I found myself smiling ear to ear seeing him so relaxed.

Jester started his Parelli training with James Roberts this morning.  Im very excited about starting my Parelli training with him in 3 weeks time.
