A Bit of Savvy Playday Group

A Bit of Savvy Playday Group

A Bit of Savvy Playgroup is a North Texas based group, consisting of women, men and children studying Natural Horsemanship. Our members are from near the Red River, South of Dallas, East of Plano/McKinney, and west of Dallas/Ft.Worth. The plan is to have a great relationship with our horses through the study of Parelli Natural Horsemanship.

The goal of our horsemanship group is to bring together like minded people who are studying Natural Horsemanship. The members vary from pre-Level 1 through Level 3 and above. We attempt to meet monthly.
This is a supportive environment, where each student can advance their horsemanship skills. The Play dates ARE NOT lessons or clinics!!, unless stated in Playday Description. The meeting provides the environment, and perhaps a general format, and the student does the rest!! Help is often available from other students, but please remember, that everyone is a student, and not an instructor! Getting together with other students is a great way to learn from each other's experience and to try out new ways to teach your horse! Remember, don't judge yourself by what someone else is doing ... horsemanship is a journey that has no end but provides the opportunity to continually learn and improve. The aim is to help both the horse and rider to become even more successful by presenting a balanced foundation from which you can build a confident, trusting, respectful relationship, without sacrificing the spirit of either the horse or the human.

Parelli Changed My Life

Parelli changed my life.  I was thinking about selling my horse because I had confidence issues.  I was bucked off a previous horse and now I have Miller.  He is pretty good but still is spooky at times.  Until just a couple of months ago I thought maybe I should look into Parelli.  So I did.  I am sure glad I did because now me and Miller have a connection.  Before Miller wouldn't let me catch him or he wouldn't come to me.  He knew his name and everything because when you called him he would look at you.  Now Miller will come to

Hello From Greensboro, NC

Hello!

I live in Greensboro, NC.  I am 40-ish. ha!  I grew up with horses as a kid, my mom was a real rodeo queen!  So it's in my blood.

I spent awhile away from the horse-life with intermitent riding days with friends and familiy along the way.   Then our family dream came true and we are now the owners of three beautiful horses  all LBE's!

"Fluid Motion" hoof trimmiing in VT

Hi all, well i have been in touch with Jim of Fluid Motion and have dates  and particulars. Its a bigger undertaking than i thought.  seems to be a 3 date (weekend)  commitment for trainig purposes, trim or reset time etc, farriers attend free and work/learn .

up to 10 horses /owners each weekend.

first date  can be  first weekend in Sept and others are basically 7-8 weeks apart trimm or reset timing.

Im sending out a feeler to see if we can pool a commitment in the NE area to pull this off.

back from harrisburg / fun with my horse

I came back from PA, inspired!  When I got to the barn this morning, it put into practice a lot of the very little subtle things Pat and Linda spoke about. When I went into his paddock, i waited for him to come to me, and reached out my hand so he had to touch me, to start the day.. btw, he is a L B E...
