Welcome

Hi,

I'd like to introduce myself.. I'm Carol or better known on the internet as  savvytwh.

I have 2 TWH, one is 22 yr old-retired, and he is the reason I found PNH many years ago.

I rode safety for Competitive Trail Rides in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Riding the trails was wonderful, but the uncontrollable horse was terrifying. I  needed help and as friends & other riders said  "Get a Bigger, stronger bits, tie his head down and lunge before you ride, so he'll be tired."   I soon found out these were not the answers.

I found PNH thru Pat's book, made my own pocket card (3x5 with instructions) and didn't invest in the equipment, used what I had, nylon halter, 6 ft lead and a lunge whip... because I  didn't want to invest more money into something which  won't work again!  Much to my surprise IT WORKED!

By using Pat's book and finally the proper tools I passed Level 1 with David Lichman in 1997.

Unfortunately my life interrupted my PNH studies.. I moved and met new horse friends.. Tried to introduce them the PNH.. but we all have heard the excuses.. too much money, too much time involved, and I'm more comfortable handling my horses the way I've always done it..Its new  and scary.

Pat and Linda did 1/2 day Tours many years ago. They we going to be in Oklahoma.. I talked 2 friends into going.. What fun!, this is when Pat introduced the original Level Kits..I purchased them all at that time.. One freind became devoted for several years and the other practices occasionally.

The other TWH is 7 yr and I've owned him since the mare was bred. He has taught me alot and I still have more to learn

Now is the time for you to tell alittle about your self.. Looking forward to meeting you all..Please lets us know what let you to PNH and where you are located.

Thanks,

Carol
