Parelli Savvy Competitions
The number of "horse shows" that are held at our local fairgrounds equestrian facilities in a year is staggering, even in just a remote area.
I have been giving some thought and wondering about putting on a PNH Savvy competition as a fund raiser for our TR center, in place of the "horse show" we used to put on, years ago.
It would be advertised in the local horse publications inviting PNH enthusiasts from the area to come and and have fun as they compete in tasks. "Classes" would be entered like at a horse show, but the level of the student would dicate what class they would enter and awards would be given out. Provided the event is held at a fairgrounds or public arena, it would likely draw in the curious traditional folk who would have their socks blown off of what they would see at every level. This would be a passive approach at inviting them, without inviting them...kind of like "its the curiousity that teaches" ...
Any thoughts (or am I re-inventing the wheel here??)
