stick to me
Because of Logan's LBE horsenality I like to keep things interesting for him so our last play session we tried stick with me. He does it fine at a walk and the backup has been decent. Trotting is another story. So we played with that. He's a little unsure exactly what we're doing, but he did trot. We had a few good trotting stick with me's that we transitioned to walk, halt and backup. I love how much he licks and chews when we try something new. Think he's on another growth spurt. He may just end up being the predicted 17hh - he's already over 16.3hh. (I'm 5'2"!)
I took the time too to just sit in his paddock the other day. The sun was warm and I sat on his tire pedestal. His paddock mate wasn't too interested in me, but Logan kept checking in with me. I did have to move when Logan tried to get on the tire with me. Not really enough room for his big feet and my big butt on there. :-)
off topic (somewhat), I went to a friend's last night and we played with her Wii fit plus. Actually, we ended up trying to beat her husband's and son's high scores on most of the fitness games. Would like to see their faces when they see our names at the top. But what a great thing for balance. It not only does your weight and BMI but it works on your balance. I thought what a great tool this could be for riding as well. It engages your core for a number of the games. Sometimes you don't even realize it. Well, my couple of hour visit turned into 4 hours. What fun we had.
