Out of My Comfort Zone and Pushing my Boundaries

Nancy's scargoids are slowly going and she is no longer sensitive on her girth area.  I'm now wondering is they have been irritating her for some time as she can be stroppy when being saddled.  It will be interesting when I use the saddle again.  Which brings me to my comfort zone.  I love riding and we have a wonderful relaionship when I'm on board - she is SO sensitive, so I have taken the plunge and have started riding her bareback - no pad, no nothing and as I've said befoe she is croup high, completely circular is RBE/RBI and is gifted with the beautiful soft silky coat all Arabians have.  I'm riding in my ropes and sometimes her cordeo (neck strap) and I have been delighted with my progress (not hers she's already way way ahead of me).  As she's so sensitive she tries to interpertate my slightest wobble as an instruction so I've had to go very slowly and its slowly becoming wonderful.  We stay mainly in the walk (in a 20 metre area) with twists, turns and now 2 laps of trot with just sometimes, a change of rein all with focus, backed up with a carrot stick.  Apart from improving my balance, she is becoming sort of less sensitive and can sort out my wobbles from my requests.  My ambition is to get to the canter and then I will start looking at presenting some of the Level 3.
