Africa: Our Journey #47 Body Language

Ended up in the ER Saturday with severe abdomonal pains.  Stayed over night for lots of tests.  Nothing found so I was released today.  Anyway, missed two days with Africa.  I felt bad because Friday we had a great session.  Back with him tomorrow. Yeah!

Last blog I wrote about improving my technique, so Friday that's what we worked on, or rather, that's what I worked on.  I put the lead line back on Africa until I felt secure about what my body was doing.  Then we went back to Liberty.  Africa was amazing.  He seemed to understand better what I was asking him to do.  He moved through figure 8 smoothly and confidently.

All of a sudden, I found my mind and body working together.  Turning my body toward the cone, Africa found he could move in the direction I was asking for. The front of my torso faced in the same direction that I wanted Africa to move. The whole time I used the carrot stick for support, but found that as I developed the technique of body language I didn't need the stick as much.
