Confidence

Confidence is an interesting word , we want our  horse to be confident,I want to be confident , I sometimes pretend to be confident when I am not to get my self through something and I have thought Dundee is confident when he is probably not there yet . 

Trailer Loading and doing his feet has brought this home to me , I realy need to be confident in what I am doing and am getting there having lessons with Max and studying is helping me do the right thing at the right time .

After a long break DD needs to get used to travelling in the trailer if we are to achieve our goals/dreams and have some fun socially . so I have been taking it very slowly just playing with it and using it as an obastacle, as  a LBI food is working well so he is having his breakfast in it most days pulling me towards it to load and i am yo yo ing him in the trailer , I am taking the time it takes to get him confident in realy being relaxed whilst he is shut in before we attempt another journey .I am confident  he is getting there and that I am doing the right thing .

Another challenge has been picking up one of his hind legs , so Max and Bryan have realy helped me with this , it has revealed my porcupine game was not that good so I a working on that and that DD is probably not that happy to yield his hind legs to me completely .considering his age we have been getting by rather than being partners in this . 

The more you know the less you know but I think the more confident I get the more easily I shall solve problems as they occur,and not be afraid to ask for help when I can't .But I shant make the assumption that he is confident  without prior and proper preparation .
