The Cousins...Goodie and Apple

Apple Cider, the dark bay, was the first horse I got directly from the racetrack as a three year old. He also was the "nippy" thoroughbred who brought me to parelli.  He is now 13 years old and the second love of my life (after my husband of course).

Goodie came to me from the racetrack two years ago. The racing season was closing and his trainer wanted to "get rid of him right away", so I bought him for $1.  After getting him home I looked up his pedigree and guess what??  He is Apple's cousin!  How interesting.  Two unwanted horses I "bought" on impulse because they had nowhere else to go are so closely related.

Apple's Sire is a horse named Well Decorated and Goodie's Grand-Sire is Well Decorated.
