The 45' Line

I'm concentrating more on ground work while we're waiting for Namara's sarcoids to heal. I've been practicing with the 45' line and getting in a terrible muddle and Nancy goes LBI and starts to play with me getting me running round all over the place.  I fancied something different so took her out of the school area (20m x 40m) and onto the 4 acre hay field.  We had great fun.  I found handling the line a lot easier in a large space.  When Nan went LBI (she bounces very quickly between LBI and RBE) I was able to throw the end of the line to clip Z5 and what a difference -- there she was working on the full length doing beautiful turns, yo yos, and gait changes.  It had never occured to me that being in an enclosed area could be restrictive and possibly detrimental. Today if the time is right we'll try some figure 8s and later the weave.
